GBDA 103: User Experience Design

about the course: students learn the basic principles and practices of user experience design and testing; learn how to plan, implement, and interpret tests conducted on digital design applications, focusing both on functionality and on the quality of the user's interaction with these technologies

Description of final project

The group was asked to generate an idea that would address the issue of low unemployment for students and new grads in the workforce. Our solution was a career service that would offer live help for relevant job-hunting and career success skills including interview preparation, resume building and more.

The following are the mock-ups I contributed to the design of the proposed website.

Process

  • Brainstorming – Generating ideas for the details of our service.

  • Wireframing – Creating low fidelity wireframes of the site.

  • User testing – Seeking feedback from test users.

  • High fidelity wireframes – Solidifying our final ideas for the design of the site.

  • Interactivity – Uploading our designs to InVision to simulate site navigation.

  • Report – Compiled a full report that reflected on our strategy and design process at each stage of the project.
